Thodupuzha - “Gateway of High Ranges”

Thodupuzha, My home town is a small  municipality in Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is 60 km from Ernakulam / Kochi. Thodupuzha is projected to be a future hub of the proposed Smartcity project.
Thodupuzha is also the name of the river that flows through Thodupuzha town. The word “puzha” in malayalam means river. Thodupuzha being the gateway to Idukki district which is full of Dams and Peaks, Canals and water falls, Wild sanctuaries and Bird sanctuaries, Tea, Cardamom, Coffee and Rubber estates attracted a number of national and international tourists.
