Inspired by the very success of “Oru CBI Diary Kuruppu†and that of “Jaagratha†the S.N Swamy –M.Madhu Team has come up with the brand new suspense thriller “SethuRamayyar-CBIâ€. As the name depicts it is the hero character by Mammootty who has proven his talent as an efficient CBI officer. The film as a whole is a family entertainer even if it has no elements of music or dance which is most appreciated by the youth. The way of narration of the incidents are quite appreciable.

The story develops on the murder of a young lady and her father. The police as well as the public are suspecting the crime to “EagoAlex†of Kalabhavan Mani who is the main Villain of the story. But the truth comes out slowly when Ayyar takes up the case.
The murder case in which alex got punishment was early probed by CBI .But when Mr.Ayyar comes to his native for vacation he gets the message that Alex is not the sole convict in the case.It leads Ayyar to take up the case officially and hence It became CBI Vs CBI as the advertisement says.Jagadeesh has done his best for his character. Jagathy Sreekumar ,Mukesh are the supporting actors and are assistants to Mammootty same as in the previous parts of the film. Salim Kumar has been introduced to give fun and to release the tension of the audience. Navya comes as the sister of Mammootty. Mammootty is free from the burden of love scenes since it is completely a crime Thriller.
